Ontrac Offers SIL-Certified Actuators for Enhanced Safety Compliance
We are pleased to announce that SIL 2 and SIL 3 certification is now available as an option for our Multitrac and Easytrac intelligent electric valve actuators, catering to customers who require this additional safety feature.
What is SIL?
SIL, or Safety Integrity Level, is a globally recognized standard set by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) to measure the safety and reliability of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). These systems are critical in hazardous operations across industries such as hydrocarbon, oil and gas, LNG and chemicals.
By offering the Ontrac SIL safety control functional assembly, our actuators can meet the specific safety requirements of SIL 2 or SIL 3 to be a part of a customer’s SIS. This option ensures exceptional performance in Stay Put and Emergency Shutdown (ESD) applications for MME/MOE and EME/EOE models.
